Course Overview:
Introduction to Instructors
Course aims and objectives
Range safety briefing and ground rules
Safe weapons handling
Fundamentals of handgun shooting
Grip, Stance, Trigger control
Sights, Loading/Unloading
Presentation and target engagement from holster
Post fire response
Contact shooting 5 -7 yards
Controlled pairs
Course does not include weapons rental, ammunition or range fees. Participants are advised to arrive 15 minutes prior to course start time. No calibers below .380 cal. Double action revolvers are welcome. (No single action pistols.)
Participants are advised to wear pants with belt loops and wear a plain belt. Flat shoes, Baseball caps and eye protection are recommended. (Some equipment loan, sale and rentals are provided at the range.)
